Healthy snack crisps
These crisps fit with the slimming world food optimising plan which was recommended to me by a friend. They’re just par-boiled pasta sheets, baked with seasoning. So simple, but so good =). Paprika, salt and pepper and garlic seem to be good seasonings that I’ve tried so far. Using different coloured pasta sheets could also be fun, such as using green lasagne for Halloween crisps.
INGREDIENTS:
Makes: 1 packet
Frylite® oil spray
3 sheets dried lasagne
various seasonings
INSTRUCTIONS:
Prep:10min › Cook:10min › Extra time:10min cooling › Ready in:30min
Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Spray a baking tray with Frylite®.
Bring a pan of slightly salted water to the boil.
Drop a lasagne sheet into the pan and leave for 2 minutes.
After the 2 minutes, take the sheet out and cut into squares.
Lay the squares on the baking tray. Repeat for the remaining 2 lasagne sheets.
Once all of the squares are on the baking tray, spray the tops of them with Frylite® and sprinkle on whatever seasoning you fancy.
Pop the baking tray into the oven (middle shelf) for 10 minutes (keep checking them as sometimes they go a bit too crisp).
Remove the squares from the tray and allow to cool.
Tip
Using more lasagne sheets (obviously) means more crisps. One baking sheet seems to hold 3 lasagne sheets nicely and makes about a packets worth of crisps.
